There were few bugs in Costa Rica during our recent trip there — and surprisingly few mosquitoes, given what I’m used to at this time of year in the DMV area.
Though I will note — and it was witnessed by a few people — I did have a streak going with four out of four MID-AIR snags (squashes/kills) of mosquitoes.
Word must’ve gotten out, for those four mid-air snags happened in a matter of about an hour, then after that, hardly a mosquito of flying-thing came near me for the rest of the trip.
Now, if I could only catch that buzzing bugger flying around my home these past couple hours … .
