Sometimes it’s the little moments in life, ja?
Late this afternoon I was driving home from an event when I saw a sliver of a rainbow in the sky. Bright, colorful, but just a smidge. I needed to fill up my gas tank, so I pulled into a nearby station, ostensibly to get gas but, hopefully, to get a better look at the rainbow while at doing so.
And this is what happened: The guy at the pump one over from me had his windows down and music coming out of his car’s speaker. The song? Israel “IZ” Kamakawiwoʻole’s “Somewhere over the Rainbow.” I pointed out the rainbow to him (and noted the song currently playing), and we got a good laugh out of that one.
