There was a time in my life when I lived in a small group home, and when I lived there, we had visions of hosting various events, concerts, workshops and such. We did host a few events, and in the process of doing them, needed to create a checklist of activities to do to prepare the house for guests and the event ahead.
Here’s a checklist. What a doozie.

Checklists are important. Also, seeing all this work we had to do — and then doing the work — made us realize, in short order, that it was just too much to clean and prepare a very lived-in house for each and every event. Way too much work.
Building community is great. Noble, even. Often fun. But, oy, the work to host events. ‘Twas a lot.
